WHAT'S INCLUDED?
It's going to be fun, exciting and cold! But....a prepared camper/rafter is a happy camper/rafter!
- FREE camping, breakfast and dinner at Esprit's funky basecamp
- wetsuit/splash jacket for the day
- a full day of rafting on TWO channels of the Ottawa River
- riverside lunch,
- apres rafting beer/ bevvie,
- video/photo viewing
- a night of comedy with Randy and Mr. Lahey
- following the performance, an evening of fun at the Esprit bar (open until 3 a.m.), and memories to last a life time!
Remember to bring:
FOR CAMPING/PERFORMANCE
- tent,
- sleeping bag,
- WARM blankets,
- sleeping pad/air mattress
- flashlight for camping
- WARM clothes for the cool nights
- toque and mitts ... better to be snuggly than freezing!
- dry shoes for the basecamp/lodge/bar
- extra money for purchases (if you want) - rafting photos/video; Craig Cardiff cd; drinks at the bar
For the RIVER...
- WARM fleece, polypropolene, wool - ish layer from head to toe (including hat and socks)
- NO cotton on the river....when cotton gets wet it makes you FREEZING cold!
- you will be provided with a wetsuit - but if you have your own, you can bring it along!
- sturdy shoes that won't fall off your feet if you fall out of the raft
- eyeglass/ sunglass strap (some available to buy if needed - or ductape works well)
- your best spirit ever.... it is going to be AWESOME!
SCHEDULE
- Breakfast is served from 7:00 - 8:30 a.m.There is an information meeting at 7:45 a.m.
- The trip leaves from the basecamp at 8:30 a.m. the day of rafting, you are welcome to stay over the night before and the night of rafting.
- The trip will return by 5p.m.
- Dinner is served at 7 p.m.
- Entertainment will follow from 9pm onwards
- The bar is open until 3 a.m.
